You're killin' me, Nate. These are our local boys from Tempe. I didn't get to see them when they were still playing on Mill Ave, but I got to later when New Miserable Experience landed.
I really like the idea of shorter posts about specific singles. I agree with you, Doug Hopkins was sadly gone before his time. Some amazing songs. I really liked the Gin Blossoms. Some really good, interesting bands came out of the 90s alt-rock scene.
Any favorite bands from the era/genre? Of course, I love Gin Blossoms, but so many others too: The Wallflowers, Oasis, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Hootie & The Blowfish, etc.
Definitely Oasis, then two bands who started very late 80s, but really released their best music in the 90s…The Posies and The Sidewinders . I know there are more…need to think on this one 😊
My favorite of the Gin Blossoms singles, Nate (and a fun one to sing in karaoke!), here's the "Inside Tracks" I did on the GBs and "Found Out," with select covers, a year ago! https://bradkyle.substack.com/p/inside-tracks-39-found-out-about
Excellent 👌
One of my favorite bands regardless of genre/era.

They still got it.
